NTP Wall Clocks & Displays
Modern campuses and critical facilities depend on consistent, precise time. From shift changes and class timetables to incident response and audit trails, every second matters.
iTkey designs and delivers an enterprise‑grade time display solution that scales across hospitals, universities, industrial sites, and government precincts. It is written to help project teams understand what to expect, the value to the organisation, and how we work with you from design through to handover.
The challenge
Across large sites, clocks tend to drift, manual adjustments consume time, and different systems show different timestamps. That fragmentation undermines safety procedures, creates confusion during incidents, and complicates reporting. Clients often also face seasonal clock changes, legacy cabling constraints, and the need to integrate with building management (BMS/SCADA), access control, CCTV, paging, and nurse call systems. The objective is clear: establish a single, authoritative source of time and present it everywhere people need it, without creating new operational burden.
Our approach
iTkey delivers a proven architecture that couples an authoritative time core with robust, centrally managed displays. The result is millisecond‑level alignment where it counts, with management tools that make the system simple to operate day‑to‑day.
What implementation looks like
We work in stages so you get predictable outcomes and minimal disruption.
1) Discovery and design
Our team walks each building to confirm clock locations, mounting requirements, power (including PoE) and cabling. We verify rooftop GNSS visibility and confirm network paths and addressing. Then we produce a concise low‑level design covering redundancy, security controls, and commissioning procedures. You will know exactly what is being delivered and how it will fit within your environment before we begin.
2) Pilot
A short, representative pilot (typically 10–20 devices in one or two areas) proves the design, validates accuracy targets, and confirms management workflows. This is the time to simulate a daylight‑saving change, test alerts, and make any last refinements with your stakeholders.
3) Core commissioning
We commission the time core with GNSS and configure secure distribution. Where appropriate, we enable NTP authentication and apply network controls to ensure only approved systems can query or sync. Monitoring is integrated so your team can see health and performance at a glance.
4) Building‑by‑building rollout
Installations are sequenced to match your operational windows. Old clocks are removed or re‑used where suitable, new Bodet units are installed and verified, and each floor is signed off against a clear checklist. Parallel runs and back‑out plans keep the change risk low.
5) Handover and training
Administrators receive hands‑on training and quick reference notes covering day‑to‑day management, firmware updates, and responding to alerts. You get as‑built documentation, acceptance test results, and a clean transition into BAU.

This solution is built on proven vendor platforms, each addressing a specific layer of the timing and display stack. The brands below are indicative and can be adapted to your standards and procurement preferences.
Meinberg | authoritative time core
What it is: GNSS‑disciplined NTP/PTP time servers and timing modules that deliver precise, traceable time.
Where it fits: The campus time core providing the single source of truth for NTP, with optional PTP where sub‑millisecond synchronisation is required.
Typical applications: Broadcast playout, energy substations, industrial control, defence infrastructure.
Bodet | enterprise displays and fleet management
What it is: LED and analogue clocks for indoor and outdoor use, with centralised management for brightness, time zones, and DST.
Where it fits: Corridors, wards, classrooms, control rooms, production lines, and concourses.
Typical applications: Healthcare, education, transportation, and industrial facilities.
Relyum | resilient, deterministic distribution
What it is: TSN switches and HSR/PRP bridges for high‑availability and time‑aware networking.
Where it fits: Critical network segments that require seamless failover or deterministic behaviour for timing traffic.
Typical applications: Rail and transportation networks, energy grid, defence and industrial control systems.
GPSPatron | PNT assurance and threat monitoring
What it is: Jamming and spoofing detection probes and cloud analytics to verify GNSS integrity.
